Having large rooms to spread out, appreciate the openness and/or entertain, sounds appealing to most of us. Yet, all that space can make it challenging to decorate in a way that feels comfortable and inviting.

One way to address that challenge is by choosing the right window treatments. Large rooms often mean large windows, an asset to welcoming in the sunlight, or enjoying the views, but also challenging when it comes to energy efficiency and privacy.

Warm colors complement the natural light pouring into your room. When you use warm colors in window treatments you complement the flow of that natural sunlight shining in. From beiges and browns to grays or even wood, these window treatments contrast the outdoor views of nature and its landscapes with the lighting inside.

 

Dark Colors make Lovely Accents 

Window treatments that use dark fabrics can dramatically change the lighting of any room and can create a cozy atmosphere. Consider a room-darkening fabric or liner for added privacy if you have large windows in a bedroom.

Benefits of using Large Window Treatments

You appreciate the sun’s rays shining into your room, bringing in light and warmth. However, larger windows in your living room or bedroom may allow so much sunlight into the room that it gets too warm.
